About Sarah
Originally hailing from spooky New England and currently based in sunny Oz, I’ve been overenthusiastic about storytelling in a professional capacity since 2006. I work as a writer, cartoonist, illustrator, and graphic designer.
I’m always interested in hearing about opportunities to flex my creative muscles. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch at sarah@swinsea.com!
And if you’d like to have me at an event, I’d love to hear from you! I live in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia* and am available for travel. See general author visit information here.
My work has been published by Macmillan, Penguin, Lerner, Dark Horse, IDW, BOOM! Studios, Iron Circus Comics, Oni Press, and more. Other clients include Harvard University, the Boston Public Library, the Onion/A.V. Club, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and the Game Show Network.
Honors include winning two silver Ledger awards, being shortlisted for the Ignatz Awards and Slate Cartoonist Studio Prize, and contributing to Eisner-nominated anthologies and NYT bestselling books. My work has appeared in publications alongside authors such as Margaret Atwood, Joyce Carol Oates, and Neil Gaiman.
I am represented by Jennifer Linnan of Linnan Literary Management, LLC.
